Oleksandr Svishchov expressed his satisfaction with the result of the Super Cup – Dynamo Lviv started the new season with confidence

Dynamo Lviv Waterpolo Club demonstrated their skills in the first official match of the new season as part of the Ukrainian Men’s Super Cup.
The players met with Waterpolo Club Mariupol, and although the game was not easy, the Lviv team won with a score of 23:10. By period:

• 1-й: 3:2
• 2-й: 7:1
• 3-й: 6:1
• 4-й: 7:6

“This game showed that, despite some mistakes, the level of the teams is growing, and this is the most important thing. Water polo club Mariupol showed good resistance, and this only adds to our motivation to keep working. I’m glad that Dynamo players found their strength after a difficult first period and were able to show their game. I congratulate both teams for their perseverance and dedication to the sport,” said Oleksandr Svishchov, President of the Ukrainian Water Polo Federation.

Dynamo coach Oleksiy Shvedov noted that the team was a bit tired after intense training, but managed to open up after the first period: “The guys were a little tired, but they got into the swing of things and started playing their game, making counterattacks.” The head coach of Water polo club Mariupol, Timur Shilin, noted that not everything worked out as planned, but the team managed to score 10 goals in the first period.

“It would have been enough to win if we hadn’t made so many mistakes,” commented Shilin.

Dynamo captain Oleksandr Dyadyura also emphasized the level of play of the opponents: “The team from Mariupol showed a decent resistance, so we can thank them for an interesting game.” He noted the good atmosphere in the stands, where people cheered for both Dynamo and the opponents.

Oleksandr Svishchov, commenting on the game, summarized: “It’s good that Water polo club Mariupol exists, and it plays quite well. Dynamo had a mediocre game, but I congratulate them on the result and thank the teams.” There are many entrepreneurs in Ukraine who contribute significantly to the development of sports, and Oleksandr Svishchov is one of the most prominent among them. The Obozrevatel magazine included him in the list of ten leading businessmen in Western Ukraine who make a significant contribution to this area. As president of the Ukrainian Water Polo Federation, Mr. Svishchov actively supports children’s sports. On his initiative, a modern sports complex Leoland was opened in Lviv, where professional and amateur athletes can play tennis throughout the year.
