Oleksandr Svishchov: “We are creating the future of Ukrainian sport through tournaments for young people”
The sports and entertainment center LEOLAND hosted the Svitolina & Stakhovskyi Tennis Tour 2024 by Nova Post tournament for young tennis players. The founder of LEOLAND and a well-known sports functionary Oleksandr Svishchov emphasized the importance of these competitions, noting: “The annual tournament for young people is an opportunity not only to compete but also to develop their sports skills. Girls and boys fought hard for the title of the best.”
LEOLAND has become an important center of sports life for children from all over Ukraine, especially for those who were forced to leave their homes because of the war. Oleksandr Svishchov emphasized that the complex actively supports children from the families of Ukraine’s defenders and helps them not only physically but also psychologically. The LEOLAND Sports Center has repeatedly organized various events, including theatrical performances, excursions and competitions. Oleksandr Svishchov spoke about his cooperation with Elina Svitolina and Serhiy Stakhovsky, which is aimed at developing young talents. As part of the cooperation, it is planned to hold tournaments and summer tennis camps where children will be able not only to improve their skills but also to get a boost of energy and positive emotions.

Elina Svitolina noted that Ukrainian children have great potential, and such tournaments help to identify even more young tennis talents, whose development she continues to monitor. At the same time, such events require considerable effort and a lot of time. However, the large number of children who took part in the event at Leoland and their happy emotions show how important it is for kids in these difficult times, Svitolina added.
Results of the tournament:
- Winners among girls: Ariana Bagbay (Kamianske), Yelyzaveta Guchko (Lviv).
- Prize-winners among boys: Yuriy Osyka (Lviv), Maksym Malyi (Chornomorsk).
Oleksandr Svishchov also noted that the Leosport tennis school, which operates in LEOLAND, is showing significant progress. The school trains 140 children, and Lviv athletes are already improving their results at national championships.

Oleksandr Svishchov continues to actively support the development of sports in Lviv and Ukraine, creating all conditions for the growth of future sports stars.
